Noored Kotkad ("Young Eagles") is one of the largest youth organizations in Estonia. It has over 3000 members whose purpose is to do good by developing our nation and country and ensuring Estonia lasts forever.
Quality civic education
Activity arrangement in our organization ensures best quality for civic education.
Activities start from the troop level, which is managed by a troop leader. A troop leader is chosen from among the troop members. Every troop with 4 to 10 members has their own name and sometimes their own pennant if needed.
All activities support learning from older members, troop leaders and group leaders.
Groups in one county constitute one regional district, which is commanded by a district leader and a local Defense League Headquarters youth instructor.
Active and adventurous activities
Our activities list is long - parachute jumping, flying with gliders, diving, skiing, hiking, shooting with different guns, playing chess and checkers, orienteering and lots of other adventurous activities.
From year 1997, one of our biggest and most popular events has been the scouting competition "Mini-Erna", where the main goal is to cover a 35 km long track as quickly as possible while remaining unnoticed.
